Intellitrack

Intellitrack is a network driven database that provides product support to the entire channel of trade. During the battery manufacturing process each battery is encoded with a serial number; that serial number is then recorded into the database. The database (through that serial number) maintains the manufacture date, plant, assembly line and group size.
Once that battery is shipped it will further be recorded in the database to which distributor or customer the battery is being shipped. At the point of sale or installation Intellitrack provides POS support through the use of Reserve Power Cell’s proprietary Handheld Device and/or PC-driven menu system. The Intellitrack database will maintain the buyer’s name, place of purchase, date of purchase and any other customer specific data we would like to maintain, such as group size and or application.
Once that battery is put into service the Intellicell on-board memory will maintain a history of the batteries service life recording abnormal, abusive or irregular conditions related to both the battery and the applications operation and charging conditions. This information may be extracted from the battery upon a warranty return to validate, deny or pro–rate a warranty through the use of the RPC handheld device or PC-driven POS system.
The warranty decision would at that point be driven by the warranty database and removed from the store clerk's hands, eliminating the personal judgment decision on warranty replacement. This will also identify the original purchaser, preventing unauthorized warranty transfer from one individual to another.
The Intellitrack database will reduce the need for “Junk Bin” studies by collecting field data and identifying failure modes of batteries taken out of service. This will provide engineering with a way to monitor the product's service life and improve the product based on feedback from the field.
Additional advantages include interactive product support for distributors, retailers and consumers.
